ANANTNAG,22 NOVEMBER: Department of Pediatrics GMC Anantnang under the patronage of Principal/ Dean Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb concluded the week long observation of “National newborn week”. National newborn week 2024 has been celebrated from 15th to 21st November throughout the country.
The theme for this year’s National Newborn week was ” Optimising Antimicrobial Use to Prevent Antimicrobial Resistance ( AMR), In Newborn”. Under the theme a lecture series was organised by the Department of Pediatrics GMC Anantang throughout the week. The scientific talks were delivered by faculty members of pediatrics department and members of Department of Pediatrics and the guest faculty from department of Microbiology.
Principal/ Dean GMC Anantnag Prof. Dr Rukhsana Najeeb in her message underscored the importance of judicious use of antimicrobials agents in this tender population of neonates. She congratulated the department for pediatrics for organising back to back workshops to impart essential training to the staff and observing all the National days and National weeks related to improvement in pediatric and neonatal care with all zeal and fervour.
