Srinagar: As a significant achievement, under the able leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rukhsana Najeeb, GMC Anantnag bags first and second position awards at the recently concluded International Conference at SKUAST-Kashmir. All the faculty members and supportive staff from GMC Anantang congratulated the awardees for achieving such a great feast.
Over 500 participants from medical, agriculture, veterinary, and aquaculture sciences participated in this mega event held in a hybrid mode. Faculty members and Scientists from GMC Anantnag also participated in the 3-day International Conference (AI-CIAS) on ‘AgriTech Intelligence and Beyond: Cutting Edge Innovations in Agriculture and Allied Sciences’ organised by Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-Kashmir.
Dr. Abiroo Nakash, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology, GMC Anantnag won the Ist Prize in best oral presentation award category for the paper , “ *Evaluation of various phenotypic methods for differentiation of Candida dubliniensis from Candida albicans* ”.
Dr. Iqra Hussain Shah, Scientist B (Medical) VRDL, GMC Anantnag won 2nd prize in best oral presentation award category for *”Molecular Typing of Group A rotavirus from Kashmir Valley* ”
Dr. Bushra Yousuf, Ex-Senior Resident in the Department of Microbiology GMC Anantnag also received an appreciation award for her oral presentation on *“Detection of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis by CBNAAT in South Kashmir* ”
Principal/Dean, GMC Anantnag, Prof. ,( Dr.) Rukhsana Najeeb congratulated the awardees and praised them for bringing laurels to GMC Anantnag.
