Srinagar: On the directives of the District Administration, Anantnag, a series of joint inspections were carried out on 9/9/2024, to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and promote the overall well-being of the community.
A total of 16 inspections were conducted in various areas, including Mattan, KP Road, and Paibugh, covering pharmacies, healthcare facilities, and cold storage units. Two notices were issued for non-compliance with provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
The inspections revealed that all pharmacies were equipped with CCTV surveillance systems, and computerized billing systems were implemented in all facilities, except for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Ayshudi Store in Mattan.
The cold storage facility at the Mattan PHC was found to be in satisfactory condition, ensuring the safe storage of essential medical supplies and vaccines. Additionally, the OT and Drug Store of the SKJ Nursing Home were inspected and found to be satisfactory.
