Operation of Two medical sale estabilishments disallowed and Awreness camp held at Verinag Anantnag

Srinagar, 30 :- An education cum awareness camp was conducted at kapran verinag by Drug Control Organization Anantnag in collaboration with Chemists of the area. Assistant Controller Drugs & Drug Control Officers deliberated on varied topics like role and responsibilities of pharmacists, legal aspects, self audit/inspections. During the program the chemists were sensitized about NCORD directives and emphasis was laid to keep proper dispensing record of psychotropic drugs & other drugs under schedule H1 category.
Earlier team of Drug Control officers of District Anantnag conducted various inspections of the Drugs sale estabilishments in the area and operation of two estabilishments namely Krishna medical store and new javeed medical agency verinag has been disallowed for keeping and selling the abortifacient drugs in contravention to the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and conditions of licences. Also a complaint under Drugs and Cosmetics Act has been lodged before the Hon’ble court of Chief judicial Magistarte Annatnag by DCO Anantnag against Javeed Ahmad nickname Java of Hussanpora bagh Bijbehara for keeping and selling addictive drugs in violation to provisions of Law.
