Srinagar: In a significant move towards enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of the registration process for pharmacists, the Jammu and Kashmir Pharmacy Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Assistant Drug Controller Anantnag/Kulgam, organized a camp office today. This initiative aimed to address the grievances of applicants from the districts of Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Shopian who had applied for registration or re-registration as pharmacists through the online portal (www.jkpc.in) under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
The camp office witnessed a turnout of 63 candidates who had pending issues with their applications. The event provided an opportunity for these candidates to have their concerns addressed on the spot. Many applicants received immediate resolutions, while others were advised to upload the necessary documents as outlined in the checklist available on the Pharmacy Council’s website to ensure their applications were processed swiftly and accurately.
Assistant Drug Controller Anantnag/Kulgam, Mtr. Rumeesa Mohammad, appealed to all stakeholders to come forward with their genuine claims before the deadline of August 31, 2024. She emphasized the importance of ensuring that no eligible person, who meets the requisite qualifications, is left out of the registration process under the Central Pharmacy Regulation. This call to action is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of pharmacy services in the region.
Registrar J&K Pharmacy Council, Mr. Surinder Mohan, assured the attendees and stakeholders of the council’s dedication to resolving any genuine grievances related to the pharmacy profession in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He encouraged individuals to reach out to the council through their official website, email, or toll-free numbers for assistance.
