Srinagar: The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) has officially announced its summer vacation schedule for the year 2024.
As per a recent notice from the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs, the university and its associated colleges will observe summer vacations from July 26th to August 4th, 2024.
Despite the summer break, the university will continue to conduct examinations, outside internships, and other necessary academic activities as per the existing schedule. This ensures that students’ academic progress remains uninterrupted.
In the notice dated July 9th, 2024, the Dean of Academic Affairs directed that all Deans, Heads, Principals, Directors, and Coordinators ensure that their respective departments, colleges, and centers remain functional for administrative work during this period.
This move is aimed at maintaining the operational efficiency of the university’s administrative functions.
The detailed directive has been circulated to key university officials including the Finance Officer, Controller of Examinations, Director of DIQA/DIT&SS, all Deputy Registrars, and other relevant administrative personnel.
The notice has also been forwarded to the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat and the Registrar’s office for their information.
Furthermore, the Public Relations & Media Centre has been tasked with uploading the notice on the university’s website, ensuring that all stakeholders, including students and faculty members, are adequately informed.
This planned vacation period offers a brief respite for students and staff while the university continues its commitment to academic excellence and operational effectiveness.
