SRINAGAR: Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad Gilkar, a resident of Bilal Colony in KP Road, Anantnag, has been recognized for his exceptional performance by being awarded the “Best Outgoing Resident in Surgical Oncology” after completing his DM in Oncology Surgery at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hyderabad.
Dr. Gilkar, who was serving as a Medical Officer in Quimoh, Kulgam, is widely acknowledged for his academic excellence and dedication to the field of oncology.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar and went on to earn his MD degree in Oncology.
His achievement is particularly significant in the context of the rising number of cancer cases in the Kashmir Valley.
