ANANTNAG, 28 OCTOBER:- GMC Anantnag takes the pride to inform that two of its final year students ( phase 3 stage 2) have brought laurels to the college at a national level competition of IAP UG quiz of 2024. It is pertinent to mention that IAP conducts national level quiz every year to honour and encourage outstanding students in the speciality of Pediatric medicine.
Ms Intifa Hassan Sheikh ( Roll No. 25) and Humera Bashir ( Roll No.29) both of Phase 3 part 2 MBBS students from GMC Anantnag got the runner up award after a very thought competition with counterparts from GMC Srinagar. There were students from other medical colleges too in the competition. Students from GMC Anantang got 75 points against 80. It is important to mention that students from GMC Anantnag could not get a preparation time because they were informed only two days back about the quiz as the communication was recieved from the central office late.
Quiz masters for the IAP informed the Head Department of Pediatrics Dr Showkat Hussain Tali telephonically about the result and thanked him for sending brilliant students for the competition to make it meaningful , lively and highly competitive.
Principal GMC Anantnag Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb congratulated the duo for such a great achievement and wished them to top all the competitions at national and international level and continue to bring laurels to GMC Anantnag
