Srinagar: Director Agriculture and farmers welfare department, Mr. Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal on Thursday visited south Kashmir’s District Anantnag to inspect ongoing Agriculture operations, During his visit Director Agriculture Kashmir Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal inspected status different agriculture activities along National Highway to Sub Division Pahalgam.
Director Agriculture Kashmir during his visit to south kashmir early morning visited Kalnag Patato farm & later visited Rampore Vegetable seed multiplication farm.
Director Agriculture Kashmir later visited Fodder Seed Production Scheme Aru and urged the employees working in the FSPS Aru to adopt modern trends and techniques in the Farm, and showed his satisfaction over whooping increase in produce of Fodder Seed by Fodder seed Production station Aru.
He instructed I/C Research Assistant Fodder Seed Production Station Aru Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Gilkar to focus on new high fodder yielding varieties so that fodder crisis in the UT can be checked.
It is imperative to mention here that Fodder Seed Production Station Aru is highest producer of Red Clover seed in entire country.
DAK also visited Floriculture farm Sirhama and inspected work under HAPD.
