Baramulla : A 49-year-old Rukhsana Parveen of Novlari Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, weaves magic with Chemical-Free Handmade soap with haven of creativity, fragrance and other products from her home nestled in a quiet alley.
Despite holding a master’s degree, Rukhsana discovered solace and fulfillment in the art of soap making, transforming her kitchen into a sanctuary of creativity and calm.
Intrigued by the idea of crafting something beautiful and useful for every household , Rukhsana immersed herself in learning the art. Her journey into the world of chemical free handmade soap making is serendipitous as she expertly crafts chemical-free soap from her home, she remarks, “each batch enhances my passion, infusing every bar with love and purpose.”
With determination and passion, Ruksana honed her skills from a cource via online during covid and experimenting it with natural ingredients and aromatic oils. Her creations soon gained attention for their exquisite designs and therapeutic qualities.
After completing an online course of Making Soaps, she faced the daunting task of balancing work and family responsibilities, however she proved her mettle by innovating and serving her community with her groundbreaking creations.
In a heartfelt tribute to her beloved mother, who was affectionately calling her “Mahi,” Rukhsana launched “Mahi’s Handmade Products” in 2021. This brand name not only honors her mother’s memory but also embodies Rukhsana’s passion and dedication to crafting quality handmade goods, every soap undergoes meticulous crafting from her home, Mahi ensures her products are organic and chemical-free, offering customers peace of mind with each purchase.
“Mahi’s soap became more than just a product; it became a symbol of resilience and hope.
